Bequests: A Lasting Legacy

A gift in your Will is one of the most meaningful ways to leave a lasting legacy. It reflects your values, supports future generations, and ensures compassionate healthcare and exceptional care continue to strengthen our community for years to come.

Many people want their generosity to extend beyond their lifetime, and a charitable bequest is one of the most thoughtful and enduring ways to make that possible. A bequest allows you to support the causes you care about while maintaining complete control of your assets throughout your lifetime.

A charitable bequest can be made in several ways. You may choose to leave a specific dollar amount, a particular asset, a percentage of your estate, or the residue of your estate after other gifts and expenses have been distributed.

Every bequest, regardless of size, helps create a healthier future and ensures that Concordia can continue providing compassionate care, innovative programs, and life-enhancing opportunities for generations to come.

How to Leave a Bequest

  • Speak with your lawyer or estate planning professional about your charitable intentions.

  • Decide on the type of bequest that best reflects your wishes and financial goals.

  • Include Concordia Foundation as a beneficiary in your Will using our legal name and charitable registration number.

  • If you have already included Concordia Foundation in your estate plans, we would be honoured to know of your intentions. While not required, sharing your plans allows us to thank you, ensure your wishes are fulfilled, and welcome you to our community of legacy donors.

Your bequest will become a lasting expression of generosity, helping ensure exceptional care and compassionate service remain available for those who need them most—today and for generations to come.

We encourage you to make these important decisions thoughtfully, in consultation with your family, loved ones, and trusted legal and financial advisors. Our role is to provide information about the giving opportunities available across the Concordia campus and to help you explore options that align with your values and philanthropic goals.

Concordia Foundation is committed to the highest ethical standards in planned giving. Our staff and volunteers will never pressure or unduly influence your decisions. Your wishes, your family, and your intentions will always be respected.
